Basic Features of an Ideal Society
The need to have an ideal society is precipitated by constant injustices from social, economic, and political aspects. Apparently, the crimes subjected to the weak are propagated by the wealthy, the elite, and the government. Various scholars like Thomas More and Jane Jacobs have always tried to define the standards for an ideal society. Irrespective of any scholar’s views, the basic principles of an ideal society are enshrined on social equality, justice, peace, and liberty.

In his book ‘Utopia’, Thomas More suggest that the ideal society is borderless and is not limited to geographical perimeters. In this context, a community is not defined by geographical borders and allows citizens to move freely without restrictions and subjections to laws. More says “freely go over the whole precinct, which he belongs as if he were still within it” (63)…..
