What were the major complaints of the American colonists to the British crown?  Do you think the complaints of the colonists were justified?  Why or why not?  What groups were left out of the Declaration of Independence?  Why?  What impact did leaving out certain groups have on the foundational government of the United States?  Do you think the Declaration of Independence was a hypocritical document?  Why or why not?  How did the declaration shape the future of the United States?  Can the impact of the declaration still be felt today?  If so, how?  If not, why?
